With this kind of error which is very common collectors often want the other bill to be shown on the note, the more showing the better. Not the same animal Andrew, I don't see anything off center and the condition isn't even close. View Last New Topics. View Last Active Topics. Actually Mikey, it is notit is D printed When you get ready to sell this super rarity, you should mention that 'D' as part of the series.

Although it probably wouldn't make much difference to most folks, the with this type of error is much scarcer than the D. I would recommend that you make your deal with whoever told you that. Personally, I 'give' these things away. Here is a printed in and a couple of reverses of the same series. Yours was a top corner note as shown by the sheet alignment marks at the top of the reverse.

This really isn't saying much though, because it was printed on a 12 note sheet, so every note on the sheet was an edge note.

Good sales pitch you have got going there, but I doubt that anyone here will bite. The type you have is called a Blue Seal Certificate, and as you have noted, it was issued in in the E fifth group of printings.

There was a A, B, etc. If my memory serves me correctly, silver certificates only carry a small premium in circulated condition which is probably what you have. If it's creased, worn, or torn at all, it's circulated. It's worth a bit more than it's face value, but there were so many issued, unfortunately you can't retire on it.

So I go out this evening to the local watering hole, and after purchasing a beer for the lady and myself I do double take, and realize that on the face of the bill there is a crease. When I "extended" the crease, there was no ink in the void. On the reverse of the bill, the printing is whole. Also, if you straighten out the bill, the paper is not perfectly rectangular.

I will take pictures tomorrow to post here. I was wondering if this bill had any value at all. I mean, I'll keep it with the others that I have But I want to know if I got the beers for free?? This looks like a nice one to join my collection. What does "Off center" mean? Look at the border around the bill. On the back of a dollar bill you will see the moto "In God We Trust". You wont see that on this note. Not only the border, the H is either touching can't really see or almost touching its surroundings.

It just apears that way. Its hard to get a clear pic of these.
